Welcome to my commissions page! I write music with strong melodies in a variety of styles, suitable for YouTube or livestream background music, voiceover reels, character themes, tabletop RPG background music, video games, films and animations. Feel free to listen to some samples of my work below.

Rates and Terms

Here are my rates, and the terms under which I work. Acceptance of a commission request indicates your agreement to these terms.

My Rates

My commission base rate is currently 85 GBP per minute of completed music. This includes up to two revisions, and one complete rewrite. Further revisions will be charged at 50%, with further rewrites charged at full price.A revision is defined as rewriting a section of music, whereas a rewrite is defined as completely remaking the whole piece again from scratch.If you require your piece within a week or less (1-7 days), there will be an extra 25% charge (calculated after base price and any applicable extra charges for hired musicians). See below for information on hiring musicians to record your piece.Commissions will be created using virtual instruments. If you would like me to hire musicians to play on your commissions, this will be more expensive. Rates for these commissions will be discussed individually based on your needs and budget, factoring in any hired musicians' rates.Final delivery will be of the full stereo mix in both WAV (lossless) and MP3 (compressed) formats. Other formats are available on request.If required, tracks and/or stems can also be delivered to you in WAV and/or MP3 formats for an extra 5% charge (calculated after base rates and any other applicable charges, e.g. musicians' rates). This does not include clearance to sample my work.

My Terms

  • These terms only apply to commissions and do not apply to bigger projects.

  • I reserve the right to decline commissions if I am unable to do them.

  • I do not work on NSFW projects.

  • I explicitly will not allow my work to be used for the purposes of training generative AI models.

  • Your payment entitles you to a maximum of two revisions and one rewrite. Further revisions will be charged at 50%, and further rewrites at 100%.

  • Requirements will be discussed and finalised before commencement of any work. Any substantial changes made to your brief after work has commenced will be counted as a rewrite.

  • Once requirements have been finalised, 50% payment is required upfront, with the remaining 50% due prior to delivery. You will receive one (1) invoice for each payment required.

  • Invoices will be sent from PayPal, so please also make payments via PayPal.

  • Work-in-progress commissions will be watermarked and are not authorised for use before final payment. Watermarks will be removed in final versions.

  • Refunds can only be given before work has been started. Refunds cannot be issued if you have already received work-in-progress versions, or the final version.

  • Delivery will be in WAV (lossless) and MP3 (compressed) formats. Other formats are available on request. As stated above, tracks and stems can also be delivered for an extra 5% charge.

  • I endeavour to get commissions of between 1-3 minutes in length done within one (1) month. I will, of course, do my best to get them done sooner, but this may not always be possible due to the other projects I am working on, my day job responsibilities, or hired musicians' schedules.

  • Other than in adherence to the terms stated above, any completed commissions are available to you for personal, non-commercial use only. Commercial use or rights buyouts will need separate discussion. Unless otherwise discussed prior to commencing work, I retain the rights to commissioned music and I reserve the right to use any commissioned music to support myself and promote my audio services, including (but not limited to) creating showreel playlists and monetisable videos to secure future work.

  • Please credit me as Ashley Kampta, or as Ashley Kampta Music, on any uses of your commissioned music. If you are happy with my work, I would greatly appreciate any recommendations, referrals or testimonials you can provide.

In your email, please describe your piece in as much detail as you can. Please do not leave out the desired length of your composition, as this determines your base price.

Information you may wish to provide can include the following:

  • Genre / Style

  • Instrumentation

  • Mood / Character

  • Purpose

References are encouraged, and any references you can provide will be most helpful in order for me to accurately understand what you need. These can include (but are not limited to):

  • Other music (YouTube links are good for this)

  • Images (such as sketches or renders)

  • Videos (such as animatics or gameplay footage)

  • Prose / Poetry (stories, fanfics etc.)

  • Character Bios / Worldbuilding / Lore
